Can someone tell me how much lower the brake pedal sits compared to the clutch pedal in a factory power front disc brake car? Thank you for any help.

If both are adjusted properly, they should be at about the same height.

Thanks for the responce Mark. I was thinking the manual brake cars had the pedals pretty even but I thought the power brake cars had the pedal down toward the floor a couple of inchs?

On my '69 power brake car, the brake pedal is about 1/4" - 3/8" closer to the floor than the clutch pedal.

I admit I have manual brakes, but after a while I noticed my brake and clutch pedals were not as even as I thought they should be. I came to discover that the rubber bumper that stops the forward play on the clutch pedal had worn through to nearly half it's proper thickness. As a result, the clutch pedal was sitting higher than the brake pedal. I checked the brake pedal bumper and found it to be worn also, but not near as bad. After replacing both bumpers and adjusting the clutch, my pedals are pretty much dead even. The power brake-equipped cars I've seen are also very close to being even. Why would GM design them to be otherwise?

Mark I may have been thinking about the A-body cars as having the difference in pedal height. When I changed my 68 442 to a 4-speed I noticed the difference in the pedal height so I checked my assembly manual and found information that stated how much pedal travel was required for manual brakes and power brakes and the manual brakes required more travel so the manual brake pedal was up even with the clutch pedal but the power brake cars had the pedal lower by close to 2" if I remember correctly,so I assumed the Camaro would be the same way. It sounds like that assumption was wrong. Thanks for the help with this.
