Has anyone installed one of those new repro instrument panels in a 69 Camaro?

How does it fit????

I'm looking into getting one of these, and I'm not quite sure if I want to go that route or not.

I am currently building up a new cluster assy. using this housing. I am putting back stock gauges (speedo and tach) where electric hot rod gauges had been installed. The previous owner carved up the housing to install his hot rod gauges so I'm having to use a new housing to go back to stock. I'm also going back to the stock console gauge set. His Moon gauges where twist tied into the under dash harness. I have quite a mess under dash at this time.

I'm leaving in a few minutes to talk to a custom wiring guy to discuss what I need to have done.

I"ll be reporting in when I have more to report.

I really hate most of the Repop stuff thats out there....However, I did purchase one from Ricks and I was quite surprised how nice it fit....I did have to oversize a couple of the screw holes in order for them to line up...but all in all I was pretty happy

I actually had pretty good luck with the OER dash bezel. I was surprised on how well it did fit. This was a few years ago.

I have a real nice original blue bezel I will sell for repo dollars.

The blue is painted on the pebble areas only....the rest is black. Mine started life as a dark green one, and I painted it black. Turned out great.

I can't speak for fit, but the repop I saw at Rick's a couple of years ago, was much duller than the originals. You could paint the pebble areas, but getting the correct sheen on the rest looked to be quite a chore.

I installed mine right after they came out, fit and looks fine.
Worth the cost IMO
Good luck
