Hello,

I am new to this website and want to say hi first of all!

I just upgraded the brakes of the front of my 67 Camaro RS and now have trouble bleeding them. What I would like to know is if the bleeding screw should be facing up, or down? The Disc brake kit that I purchased allows for the caliper and assembly to be installed on either side, and now........

you guys are the pro's, so I figured I would start here.

thanks.

Cory

The bleeders should always face up.

And hi, and welcome to Team Camaro!

The bleeders should always be UP, to allow air to escape.

Welcome to Team Camaro!

**Look at that... where else are you going to get simultaneous and instant help like that?! :)

Get the bleeder to 12 oclock even if you have to bleed it before it is bolted on. Just make sure it clamps on to the rotor well. I have had to do this with some aftermarket calipers.

Sometimes hitting the caliper with a rubber hammer helps "loosen" the air bubbles. Use an assistant to bleed if you don't have a pressure bleeder.

cory, I am new here too so hi. But I have the original drums on all four wheels and I am looking to upgrade atleast my fronts. What did it take for you to do this and what would you suggest? Anything anyone else can tell me would be appreciated too. Thanks!
