Well, I think I am going to fab my own crossmember for the TKO. I took some preliminary measurements and they are as follows:
muncie measures:
front of trans (where it bolts to the bell) to the center of the mount is 14 1/4
center of output shaft to the mount surface is 2 13/16
TKO
mnt to the bell 15 3/4
mnt to the centerline of output shaft is 2 3/16
So I am thinking if I copy my old crossmember only bring the mount location back 1 1/2" and bring it up 5/8" it should drop right in, right?
Also, my current crossmember is offset 1" to the passenger side. If I am going back with a small block I should center it between the frame rails, right?
I figure if I keep the output shaft in the same place as factory, it should minimize driveline angle problems.
Also I should mention that the car will be lowered 1 1/2 inches in the rear.
Any help or comments are greatly appreciated
