A search of the archives found only one thread and no replies about Camquest6 software. Has anybody had a chance to use it with real-world engine comparisons? Is is accurate?
I'm still plugging values into Pat Kellys; DCR software. My old cam is still the best choice! Drat! But it's flat tappet and I want a new roller cam.
Also I called my brother and plugged his values into the software. He has an Olds 442 and he's building up the engine again. He was told by his supplier that he'd be close to 500hp with his selected components. Camquest6 says 473 hp! For my Camaro they're saying close to 800hp. Some higher. hehehe :hurray: But all of the DCR's are at least 8.3. I'm still looking. What are you guys running on the street with a 427 .060 over, open chamber aluminum heads and 12:1 CR? I have new exhaust (3") with new Hooker Super Comps. Are you thinking I should drop my compression?
God, it sounds GOOD with the old headers open!
I have an account with a racing fuel supplier and I've bought methanol from them too. (for my geothermal home heat pump) Maybe an injector, or a fuel mix? But, what the hey! Pistons are cheap. Opinions?
