Since my Z didn't sell, we're going ahead with the resto. I'm still going to have to sell it when it's done and because of this I'm seriously considering a color change. Personally, I like original colors on my cars, but I realize that Frost green isn't the most popular color! What do you think? Originality or popularity? Keep in mind this car is an RS-Z, orig. motor ,trans, rear, incorrect interior color.I'm not shopping for prices, just opinions. Not sure on this one, please move it if you feel the need!

My car is mostly numbers matching. The interior should be black the exterior should be Fathom green. If I did it over I would not change what it is now. (check my signature). I like it and so does every one that sees it. Absolute matching numbers is important to some but not others.

Tony, it was painted red back in '84. I won't re-red it, probably do hugger orange.(the Lord nows there aren't enough hugger cars in the world) If I were able to keep it I wouldn't even think about anything but Frost green. Everyone just keeps saying to make it more appealing to others, not me. If I were looking, I'd want it as 'original correct' as possible while others may want a 'day 2' car or.......

i think hugger orange is a real sharp color on a firstgen. i had a 69' bird that was painted carousel red (same as hugger orange). It was a true cop calling color lol.

considering its a #s RS Z, I wouldnt stray from what the trim tag says when speaking in terms of value.

A 3rd vote here for that line of thinking.

I can't believe that I agree with Dave....but for once, I do as well.....;) I have a 69 non numbers car that was orginally frost and I repainted it Fathom....If I had to do it all over again, I would still paint it Fathom....BUT, if it was a #'s car, it would have stayed Frost.....:)

That says it all. It's an RS-Z. The higher dollar car that I've seen have the color combo thats on the trim tag.

Frost green is a nice color IMO.

This is turning out much as I suspected. I guess I just needed a slap-up-side-the-head! I love and prefer the frost, had alot of people saying " if you have to sell it, you'll get the best $ if it's orange",numbers not withstanding.I know I'll regret selling it and I'm sure I'd regret changing it just for a couple of bucks. Thanks, guys.

Numbers matching Rs Z. A no brainer . You paint it orange and a lot of people will be dissapointed when they check the tag. Frost Green with black z striped is beautiful on a well done car and you want have one on either side of you at the next show.

Yeah, I guess that I would also keep the original color on that car, just because of what it is....

although it's my least favorite color... IMO

It would never even occur to me to change the color on an original car. If the car was modified then I wouldn't care though. Personally, I like frost green anyway.

Sent you a pm, don't want to 'sell' on this forum.
