okay comrads, I know that the positive ventilation is located at the back of the283 and 327 blocks. the blow by or by past tube releases the gases into the atmosphere. (running along side the block and transmission) Now my oil cap in ventilated and on a 65 impala i just bought the hose is running into the base plate of the carb. If the cap is not ventilated then that would be okay? maybe thats why they sold it. wouldnt run. what's your take.:noway:

Which hose? From where? Does it run into the carb baseplate or into an elbow in the base of the air cleaner? Got a picture of the setup? :thumbsup:
