Even though I dont have the new engine quite running yet I plan on using my old holley 600 cfm just to break the engine in and then swapping to a new car and fuel pump.

I have been looking at the holley 750 3310-2 with vac sec and was wondering if this is a carb I will be happy with and wont be over doing it. From all the research I have done it looks like this is the one for my application. The car is a weekend cruiser built to have some power when I want it. No heavy racing will be done so hence no need for the mechanical sec. Listed below are my specs.

350 .40 over stroked to a 383, 230/230 @.50, protopline 64cc alum heads with 205 intake runners, manual 3 speed tranny for now will go to a tko 600 next year, 2:73 gears I beleive, will swap out same time as tranny swap.

If I go with this carb will the stock jets work with my 383? I have read on here suggestions to lower the primary jets down to a 68 but that was for people running a more mild 350.

Thanks for the help as always.

3310 would be a good carb,, I have one now, tried demon 650 and did not like it, traded up to HP 850 holley but have not used it. For the tremac I would go for gears 3:73 or 4:10 range. You will cruise about 2200 @ 70. I got 23 mpg so far with my 355 mule.

I have never liked the striat leg version of the 3310 Im not sure why but every time i stick one on I loose a couple tenths at the track.

Prolly because the downleg booster atomizes fuel better,,

Holley 3310 vac secondary is an excellent choice for an all around use carburetor with your 383. Certainly, there are others that are faster, and others will give better fuel mileage. You might want to look at Holley's Avenger series, 770 cfm in particular. It's basically a 3310 with several goodies added. IMHO
