Hello, I'm currently building a .030 454, still at the machine shop, I bought a .636 solid roller camshaft because a (buddy) told me that is what I needed for top performance. Here's my problem, I want complete streetability, be able to drive any where any time. Can I use hyd. roller lifters with my solid roller cam?

Hydraulic rollers aren't going to turn your engine into a kitten.
You probably could swap, but why? Keep the solid rollers and enjoy the responsiveness and power they offer over hydraulics.

What is "complete streetability" anyway?
To me, it means the engine is reliable, behaves itself like not overheating, and won't stall with items like power steering and a/c.

If it's put together properly, it should run just fine with the solid.

Thanks for the reply, I talked to Crane cams today. The tech said the same thing you said, this cam is made for the street and will not cause the problems associated with the bigger solid roller cams used for all out racing. He said to enjoy the performance of the Street Roller without the damaging valve train effects of the racing type solid roller. This is my first big block and I did not want to have to go into it after a month of driving.
I've been without the car for 6 months now and can't wait to drive it again, pulled out the 6-speed/350 for a 454/4 speed auto.
Here's the new engine specs.
454 .030, Forged TRW pistons, steel crank, dimple rods, Brodix-1 heads
Crane solid roller 615/636 lift 246/254 @ .050, 110 C/L, Victor Jr. intake, Holley 830 HP, hooker super comp w 2" tubes.
The assemby has been balanced and block decked.
