A/C vacuum cannister

oooooooh ok, I guess someone stole mine before I bought the car. I never really saw it at car shows i guess cause it's pretty much covered by the fender... I'll add it to my list of things to get before I die trying to restore this car.

That is the original style A/C vacuum tank. The replacement tanks look like a round black plactic ball.

Cool thing is where the " P T B " stamp is.

It is a factory vacuum canister.
It's made by the trico company, and has a little white valve on the top side.

PTB stamp, I wonder how many guys will be rushing to move their stamps to a location under the fender where it can't be seen? They're kind of a "badge of honor" displayed right in plain view on concourse cars, I doubt anyone will be moving theirs soon. I know they were probably placed anywhere on the firewall during assembly, I just bet no one will put theirs in this location.

Musta had power door locks and or windows too.

I have one that I pulled off my car. I thought it was for a/c but I was not sure. The car I pulled it from had factory air

It accumulated vacuum to boost it to the control panel for the a/c function, it sends more vac to operate the door in the pass. side kick panel and in the cowl vent area. :)
