i need to know if a 1977 305 automatic motor will fit into a 1982 manual.my 82 originally had an 2.8 l motor that threw a rod. please get back someone. thanks

yeah, it will fit..
if you change all the mounts, tranny, radiator, hoses, exhaust and wiring.
other than that, it should pretty much bolt right in.

From what I've heard, the v-6's had different bolt patterned bell housings, so you can't just drop in a v-8, unless you change the transmission too.
