I have a stock 2000 SS and have been debating on a new exhaust system. I don't want to install headers, though money in not an issue. Therefore, my question is, can anyone recommend a good sounding exhaust, or cat-back system? I am "old school" and have experence with glasspacs since high school, but I don't think this is what you put on newer model V8's. Appreciate your input.

I answered here. Please don't ask the same thing multiple times.

Doesn't your SS have the SS exhaust? I'd get the Hamburger SS "wide mouth" exhaust system for it. We have it on our 2002SS, it was a bit loud at first but after some driving and getting a little soot inside, it is fine.

A little soot? :)
I like the subtle sound of Dynomax stuff.
Maybe check out ls1tech.com, you might find some info there too.

My brother in law has a SLP exhaust. It sounds nice.
