I am installing the vacum acuators and adjusting the headlite doors on my 69 RS. I got the doors to fit the grill ok but after I installed the actuator I used a hand held vac. pump to test the doors. With the door in the fully closed pos. there is still 1/2 inch of play to full open.
I do not have the bell crank springs installed yet. What is the purpose of the springs? Do they hold press on the doors to keep them in the full open or closed pos. or do they just help the doors to open? I can't seen to figure out the right way to install the springs. I see the 2 holes they are to go in but they just don't seem to fit right. I seem to be missing something.
