I am building a 350 sbc with a roller solid cam. I just installed the roller rockers and some of the rockers are hitting the springs, But some of them went all the way down. What do I do with the ones hitting the spings. Do I move the spring so the rockers slide down?
Thanks:cool:

What's the combo? I had the same problem with Dart 230 pro1's, 1.550 springs, Comp 1.6 Magnum steel roller rockers.
All of my rockers needed a little clearancing with a die grinder. As the springs rotate they all would rub.

couple possibilities. Did you check for proper pushrod length? If the pushrods are too short that can have the rockers hitting the retainers/springs. Otherwise, if the pushrods are the correct length and rocker geometry is where it's supposed to be, then you may need a different rocker arm or perhaps some clearancing of the rocker body to clear. Different rockers have different shapes, and some have more retainer clearance than others.
Got any pics of the rockers all the way down and hitting?

I have not installed the pushrods yet. The combo is just like bill's combo. I guess I will get out the grinder and do a little modifing.

Hey bill I am building a 1969 camaro turbo car. I have a dart block and dart Pro1 heads. Solid roller cam and roller rockers. I have a 76mm turbo I will be installing in my car. I am looking at getting 1000 HP to the rear wheels.Do you have any pic's of your engine? Send them if you do to irock1956@yahoo.com

This is a good reason to run the stainless steel narrow body roller rockers. Like stated above, not all rockers are the same.
Get the correct pushrods before you cut.
Just be carefully with the die grinder and round your cuts.

measure for the correct length pushrods and get them installed before modding the rockers.

send him a pm. I think a T76 is not big enough to make 1000 rwhp; most max at 700-800 rwhp.
