: GM cowl hood

HI,
I bought a 67 Camaro that I am going to make into a driver. It came with a GM cowl hood, I am going to go back to the original hood and leave the car stock. (327 2bbl) I did a search in the archives and according to the information there it seems it be a genuine GM part.
It is in great shape other than some dummy cut part of the raised part back to mount guages on his cowl. (easy fix)
My question, what is it worth? Should I sell it here or Ebay?
Thanks
JIm

Jim,
First of all...Welcome to the site! As for the hood, just from what you posted, I would say it's worth >300 bucks. The fact that it needs work to patch any holes/cut marks detracts from the price. I have seen a "nos" hood in the original box go for over 1k! It's easy to figure out it's worth: go on Ebay, see what comperable hoods are going for and post yours somewhere in the middle or more. If someone in your part of the world likes it, it'll probably sell pretty quick, if not, then it was maybe a bit high.
Definately look at other hoods to get a feel for what it's worth. That's just my 2 cents...
Good luck!

Dan
