Has anyone had any experience or know of any suppliers who can supply a daul quad low rise manifold for a tall deck BBC ?

Edelbrock and Holley both don't

Thanks in advance
Chris

Just use the about 1/4" thick intake manifold spacers and go with whatever standard deck height intake you want.

The only low rise manifold I know of for the BBC was the single four (Q-jet and 4150 Holley style and the Holley three duces off of early seventies 'vettes because of their low hood line. Once you have a low rise manifold for a standard deck height BBC you can uses spacers all around to mate it to a tall deck BBC.

I know of no one making a compromised manifold (low rise) with multiple four barrels as the 'vette was traction limited as set up with the tri power or 425 horse single four barrel Holley (390 horse with the Q-jet).

We used a new 572 crate motor for our "King Ray" '67 Corvette magazine project car, with a stock GM 3x2 intake and Moroso intake spacers, and machined the edge of the spacers to exactly match the contour of the intake; unless you were really looking for them, you wouldn't notice them.

Thats a nice job on the spacers. I would really question why you would use an inline 2-4bbl manifold (not a tunnel ram). They don't work as well as a single 4bbl on a BB.

I believe the 66-67 427/390 hp BB used a Holley carb. 66 used a R3370A/R3606A. 67 used a R3811A/R3815A. I am thinking the Q-Jet was used in 68-69. 68 was a 7028209/7028216 and 69 was 7029204/7029215. John Z...very nice work done on the tri-power set up. Correct me if I am wrong but I am wondering why there were about 3700 L-71 vettes made and the aluminum head option I believe was less than 20 plus the aluminum head option was less than 400 bucks but then again the ZL-1 option was 4700 bucks. One of the cars I could not figure out was the optional 36 gal. fuel tank for the coupe and only 2 were produced and I could swear I have seen a dozen of those cars!!!

The L-89 aluminum head option was on top of the L-71, so it was actually about $800.00, and only 16 were built (and only about 100 of them are still out there :D ).

Only two tankers were built in '67, but a total of about 250 were built from 1963-1967.
