Hello, I have a 67 camaro with the hotchkis rear leafs and I was thinking about using the dse offset shackles only. I would like to get a 17x10" wheel underneath without doing the full minitub. I would like for it to sit as low as possible without to much trouble or expense. I know that I would have to modify my tank. I would also need advise for the backspacing if its not asking to much. What do you guys think, is this a good idea. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!

Definitely be easier, but the safer route would be to weld in a set of Competition Engineering rear spring hangers. Then straight shackle bars are used. Just my thoughts.

I figure your inner walls will be the governing factor and not offset shackles for running a 10" rim.
That and the shock bottom mount hitting the rim unless it is a 17" jobber, then the shock bottom mount probably tuck's up inside the inner rim lip.
Measure three times here before you buy using the tire/wheel combination you want to run, imho..
