RandyB Feb 13th, 03, 03:18 PM All the resto companys sell a kit to fix sb to bb . We just did this on my buddys 69. The only draw back to this kit is you will have to do a small patch job on the firewall to hide where the old hoses came through. No biggy just requiring a bit of work. I think the kit is around 20$ or so. No big thing. BBCamaro Feb 13th, 03, 03:19 PM yes you can make it work you just need to drill the holes where the big block heater core tubes come out, i got from d/r classics a heater core cover(bb) , a new heater core, and a block off pad for small block holes for 100 bucks, no one else came close if i remember right, i usually buy from ricks but they didn't offer that combo jake Codi Feb 14th, 03, 06:40 AM Just like BB said, I converted my SB heater to BB. Got the core thru Autozone alot cheaper than repro catalogs. Used it to mark and drill holes for BB core tubes. Got an "adapter" from the repro catalogs and a new seal kit. The little spring metal tabs that retain the heater core will need to be modified, but no big deal. Saved major $ over new box. NHRA1877 Feb 14th, 03, 10:19 AM do you have to buy the kit or can i make it? RandyB where did you get that kit? any one have pics of one that i can work off of?
