Can anyone tell me if I need any kind of thread sealer (e.g. teflon tape, etc.)when installing new brake lines on the brake calipers, master cylinder, etc? Thanks.

No. They are a flared line/nut that seals on a seat. As for the rubber line at the calipers there is 2 copper washers for the seal and a banjo bolt.
