I Am Planning On Installing Some 2" Hotchkis Lowering Coil Springs And I Was Wondering If Somebody Could Taking A Measurement From The Ground Up To The Fender Lip With These Installed?? I Am Running A Common 245-45-17 Tire. Measures About 25" To The Top Of The Tire And My Fender Lip Measures About 28" ( She Is Sprung Up Quite A Bit. I Have Brand New Stock Coil Springs..) I Just Want To Be Sure They Dont Let The Fender Lip Come Down Too Far And Have An Interference Problem With The Tire.. Thanks! Appreciate Any Help.. Jason.

I've got 2" drop springs on my 69 with 225/40/17 and the fender sits just above the tire. I have a big block so I don't know if it will be any different with a small block.

Thanks.. Your tire is a bit taller than mine, so mine will be around 25 1/2".. That is exactly what I am looking for.. Your's is a '67 though?? Will that be the same as a '69?? Thanks, Jason.

Here is a pic of my 69 with the Hotchkis 2" drop springs and 2" drop leafs... Its hard to see but the rear fender sits perfect just about even with the wheels, the front however was not as low as I expected it be... would love it to be even like the rears or even a little lower... I still have the interior to install and the RS stuff so it might bring it down a little...

With 235/45-17 and the Hotchkis springs I have 25" to the fender lip. I have had these in about 2 years.

Just get coil overs. No guessing.

I thought about that... How much does it cost vs. coil's approx.??

I thinks its about double but that would include brand new shocks too.

My 68 is 25 1/2 with 235/60/15. 2" from top of tire to fender lip
Was 27" with stock springs.
SB, Iron Heads, Battery in trunk, metal hood, stock radiator.
Vibration dampners not installed yet, I hope that brings it down a bit.

Thanks Doug.. What Are Vibration Dampners?? And How Do They Affect The Ride Height??

They are for convertibles only to fix vibration issues.

Their heavy, not sure how heavy but they are heavy enough to affect the front end ride height. My point with listing what’s in my car is that must be a factor in determining your front end height..

I pulled mine out to paint when I pulled my front clip. Those things gotta weigh around 40-50 pounds a piece.
