im in proccess of doing a drum to disk brake job.
after installing the booster I went to install the pin in the brake pedal and there is only one hole?
power brakes use the upper hole but I dont have one?

Power brakes use the lower hole if not mistaken..

If you had power brakes before, there is a bolt holding a metal tab in the upper hole. The tab contacts the brake light switch.
Use the lower hole for the booster.

I did not have power brakes before.
there is only the one hole as per the pic above.
so im assuming thats the hole I need to use.
maybe the manual brakes were always in the wrong hole to begin with.
No wonder it was a chore to stop lol.

You should be able to tell if it's right when you mock it up.
The manual booster mounts square on the firewall, and the pushrod goes straight thru to the upper hole, concentric with the master cylinder centerline.
The power booster and it's master mount at an angle, pointing up from the firewall. Still the pushrod is concentric with the master cylinder, but due to the angle of the master it ends up at the lower hole on the pedal.
Don't know why your pedal would only have one hole.

ok i figured it out.
originally my car came with power brakes and somewhere in its life someone changed over to manual.
why I dont know
