Just doulbe chcking............I have done alot of reading on disc brake convesion. I just wanted to make sure that front disc brakes off of a 79 camaro WOULD NOT work on a 609 Camaro. I assume the answer is no.

It has loads of info on the conversion.
Page down a ways to find a full list of appropriate "donor" cars to get the parts you need at a wrecking yard. I can usually get several sets of parts in one trip to the local Pick-N-Pull for @$100 per system max.
Use new Hoses, Bearings, Calipers - if desired and Friction Pads from the local auto parts store of your choice and your done.
Now is good time to renew the suspension bushings and Ball Joints while you're tearing things apart also ...
