Due to a whole lotta luck I purchased a very original 90k mile 69 orange with white stripes & black interior Z28 a few years ago. I'm in no rush to sell it but wonder about its current & future value. I bought it from the estate of the original owner & have the sales order/bill of sale from 1969. It has the original 302, non original m21, new 4.10 gears, original paint over 70% of the body (appears someone side swiped the right side & has replacement fender, door, and rear quarter panel). Original seats, the ball joints still riveted in, bias ply tires from 82, manual steering, & blue light fm radio. The only modification is a Hays cd ignition & a rear anti sway bar that necessitated changing the drivers side rear shock mount(was this normal in 69?). The car has headers on it but I have a box of parts including the air pump & plumbing. I hate to sell it too low or too early in its appreciation climb, I do not follow these cars & see prices from insanely low to astronomical.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Bill

It sounds to me like you have a real Gem on your hands. Having the original engine is a big plus. The tranny not as big of a deal. Having the paperwork and original smog hardware is also a plus. Having not seen the car and unless it is a rust bucket I would guess mid to upper $40's. I'm probably on the low side so if you can post some pics of it along with the trim tag, the guys here will give you alot of opinions.

Thanks for the responses, the color makes it worth alot more? I see restored cars going for less & would think most buyers would prefer pristine versus original.
