View Full Version : VERY ROUGH Vert.... Fuzzyhall Jan 17th, 07, 05:23 PM Saw this while I was in SC this past weekend. What is something this rough worth? Sorry for the poor quality pictures 67pat Jan 17th, 07, 06:17 PM What ever the market will bear...she's not dead yet,but she better get a saviour soon! Ghostbuster Jan 17th, 07, 07:45 PM Looks like a total restoration, can't tell what drivetrain.. I'm assuming it's got a clear title, VIN and basic documentation. '69 RS convertible, depending on model and options.... I'm guessing $2000-$5000. CDJr Jan 17th, 07, 09:41 PM The wheels and one of the back-up lights look good.....$800?? bigblockpace Jan 17th, 07, 10:35 PM How much rust??? Dustypowers Jan 17th, 07, 10:47 PM i would say 3500 to 4500 at most Blade Jan 18th, 07, 07:17 AM its up to the buyer what are u willing to spend and are u willing to spend the time and effort? if so do it and if not then no lost. VI009DZ Jan 18th, 07, 07:22 AM The stance of it looks like she may still have a motor/tranny; not raised up in the front. Who knows what that motor might be. Who knows what that motor might be. Could be the difference between 2000 and 10000 I believe he said it was a non-matching 327. It has severe rot. He is asking $3000 and probably another grand to get it home. Too much to invest considering the condition. bil1024 Jan 18th, 07, 11:00 AM Justin - Did you get a phone # or anything? I may know someone intersted in this, thanks. Bill bigblockpace Jan 18th, 07, 11:17 AM Convertibles will always be worth more to some buyers! Tatman Jan 18th, 07, 11:59 AM I also seen this car sitting on my way back from the beach a few weeks ago. It would take a lot of time and money to fix. ezeglen Jan 18th, 07, 01:52 PM This looks close to the '68 vert I bought a year ago. I paid $4k for mine. Mine needed a new floor, 1 rocker, and 1 door. The rest looks ok (until I get further into it). The top is just the frame (and it needs a new header bow) The motor turns over, but it is a 305 (it was a 6cyl). After spending a year on this forum I think $4k was fair for what I got. Personally if it can be salvaged I think any Camaro vert is worth at least $3k. What was nice about getting something in such bad shape I don't have to feel guilty about orginality. I'm heading toward a pro-touring resto. 1967rsssconv Jan 18th, 07, 02:45 PM $3000 doesnt sound to far from right , plus thats only his asking price , did you try to negotiate the price at all, an rs convert is a sharp car when its done, good luck  ProdigyCustoms Jan 18th, 07, 08:07 PM We paid $1300 for Michaels Prodigy and felt like we stole it, and it made this one look like a cream puff. I would give him $3000 in a heartbeat sight unseen. Check out Project Prodigy when it came home http://prodigycustoms.com/mikes-prodigy.asp sharpie Jan 18th, 07, 09:15 PM PM me if you dont want it! I'll take it. I don't mind them ruff. skintback Jan 18th, 07, 10:42 PM I am interested too if you don't buy! That's peanuts for a rs vert in my opinion. mstehle Jan 19th, 07, 02:51 AM Hey Fuzzy, where are you from? I am in Central NY too. If we are fairly close and you decide to pick this car up I will help you do the resto. It's worth the effort to see a beauty restored. I probably won't pursue it because of the logistics of it all. It it were local, it's a complete different story Blade Jan 19th, 07, 07:22 AM Hey Fuzzy, where are you from? I am in Central NY too.
