You'll want to use a socket with a decent length extension, going through various holes on the bottom side of the subframe.

Did you have any luck with this? I started to pull my mounts last night and ended up drinking heavily. Do you just play stick the socket in the whole until it works?

Funny you bring this thread back, Bill. I actually removed a pair of frame mounts today.

You just get the socket in there and feel around, eventually you'll land on it. Also, there are a few holes in the subframe to where you can at least get a peek as to where you are.

Ive always done these with the lower control arm removed, so if theyre still in place, it could make it pretty difficult.

Yeah, that's always a tough one. I used a combination of universals, extensions and sockets to get at mine. Also a lot of nasty language if I remember correctly.;)

Good info - I'll wait until I remove the suspension

same here, I had 2 empty bolt holes, as in NO bolts helping to hold the mounts. I used a nail and fishing line dropped down from the top, thru the frame and out one of the frame holes, then pull the new bolts up from underneath with fishing line around the threaded part of the bolt, pull slowly until the bolt starts to wiggle thru the mount, then tied it off and pushed my small extensions and flex elbow sockets up till I caught the bolt head, pushed hard and the threads all came thru the mount, put on the washer and nut and then tightened. ITs a bear to fiddle those things in.
Here is fuzzy pic of the new bolt ready to be tightened down.
