I have pics from Friday and saturday but don't know how to post them. I can send to someone if you are interested. I took many shots of the 50 cars. They were very cool. It was a huge deal, never seen anything like it. Everybody should go once.

My daughter just got he drivers licence and when asked about donation she said "yes". I asked her if she knew what she said yes to and she replied "if anything were to ever happen to me, I can pass from this life knowing that others might be saved the grief of loosing their child. I almost cried, hugged her and said your a wonderful young woman for making that decision on your own and thinking of others that might live a full life from your gift.

Joe....sounds like your daughter is a wonderful kid. When Holly was fist sick...and it didn't look like she'd survive...we had the discussion about organ donation with the attending doctors...They had never had parents approach them before on such a touchy subject...

I signed my organ donation card when I was 16 (in 1976) in SoCal...Holly was born in 1990...so it's something that I've always believed in. I respect both people willing to donate and people that decide not to...

All I would ask is that you have the discussion with family members ASAP and find out their wishes regarding donation. The WORST time for that question to be asked is when something terrible happens. :(

Yes we talked about it, she had asked her Mom what it ment on her drivers licence not long before getting hers. She looked on the net and i think watched a few programs on TV etc. We told her it was her dicision and not ours. She was not sure what she was going to do right uptil being asked. That's when I asked her about saying yes.

She is a wonderful giving young lady. At 18 she has been making some decisions lately on her own that have just amazed me. We stand back and tell ourselves as partents we have one heck of a kid. God forbid anything ever happens to her but its good to know "her" wishes and how she feels about donation.
