I'm getting ready to replace the radiator suport and bushings as well as the front fenders and passenger side fender well on my 69. When I remove the support and fenders, am I going to cause the body to shift? I'm trying to keep from creating too many alignment issues. Can I do all of this at the same time, or should I keep as much of the car intact as possible?
By the way...great web site!
Thanks

No, the body shell itself is attached to the subframe. The fenders hang on the body and then the rad. support.
If you're going to replace ALL 6 of the bushings.... rad. support AND body.... yes, the body can move around on the subframe if not done in a certain sequence. If you're just raplacing the rad. support bushings, no big deal.
If you want to replace all 6 bushings, do one side of the body at a time, keeping the other side moderately tight. Lift one side of the body, replace bushings, bolt that side back together. Do the same on the other side. The rad. support bushings can be done at any time.
Good luck!

Lift at the front of the rocker panel, the closer you get to the firewall, the better.
Use plenty of antiseize on the bolt threads, including those on the sheet metal. You'll appreciate later in life.

I just got the car back from getting new floor pans and the body shop replaced all of the bushings except the radiator support, so I won't have to worry about that.
Thanks
