i've trited searching this to no avail. im getting my front end gaps set prior to paint and my headlight buckets dont quite fit right. since i bought this car in pieces i wonder if i have some wrong parts (i.e. non-68) and i cant find and part numbers in my year one catalog to see if there is a diff betwwen 67 and 68 but the part number on mine are chev f sae h 67. its like they sit 2 inches too far toward the middle or something. and the tabs that will hold the bucket in place (other than the 2 bolts on the core support) wont fit into the fender, almost like their too big????

does anyone have any pictures of how their headlight buckets fit in their cars. every picture i have seen of everyone elses front end their buckets are always out....... i wonder if these are 69 headlight buckets? maybe that 67 stamped on them is not a date code? this is how they fit http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/leonpiper69/detail?.dir=6787scd&.dnm=7776scd.jpg&.src=ph

From what I can see, they aren't 69 housings; those have a tab at the top that mounts through the fender/header at the top, and a tab at the bottom that goes through the leading edge of the inner fender.

I think we're going to need some closer up shots than what you have on your album. I've enlarged them, lightened them, and I still can't see quite what's going on.

i thought they were the same (as far as lefts and rights) and when i pulled them off , they looked a little different. so i tried switching them and then the driver side fit perfect, dropped right into place. the pass side i had to tweak a little. the pass side has the new goodmark fender, so maybe the tabs werent lined up perfect. regardless it all seems to fit so far.

does anyone know if they are diff, for left and right?

There are definitely LH and RH housings. That was going to be my next suggestion, but I couldn't quite see the tabs on your photos to say for sure you had them flip flopped. Sounds like you have it solved.
