Hi Aaron, welcome to Team Camaro, its easy, go to www.camaros.org and they have all the info. that is accurate about these old cars. This section of their 'decoding' tab deals with the X codes.
CRG Camaro Research Group (http://www.camaros.org/numbers.shtml#XnnCodes) read is all carefully several times, its confusing at times but very accurate. Print it out for later to give it to the 15 people that didnt know too. :)

The easy version...
All X11's got;
black body sill paint (dark body color exception)
rear quarter molding
drip rail molding
wheel well molding
if it was a base model it also got;
pin stripes
vertical bright trim on the tail lamps
and a bright molding on the headlights
This was RPO Z21 Style Trim.
If it was a RS (RPO Z22) the vertical tail light trim and headlight molding was omitted.
An SS (RPO Z27) got it all except the pin stripe. If it was an RSSS it didn't get the pin stripe or the light trim.
The only thing an X11 couldn't be is a Z/28 or a big block equipped car.

Unless it happened to be a factory installed L72 big block! :)

X11 = style trim. Non Z28, Non SS396.
Some X11s were SS350s, most were not. Very slight, but possible, chance to be a 427 COPO car.

I have 2 X-11 cars. One is a 307 powerglide AC car and the other is a 350 3speed manual trans. Both 10 bolt rearends and drum brakes. I`ve had the cars over 26 years.
