I am helping a friend buying a camaro. The one he is likely to buy is a 69 red convertible. The seller says it is an SS. Trim tag reads:

ST 69 12467 NOR 233932
TR 721 59 BPNT
013 X11

Can you tell us what this means ? Any way to verify if its a real SS ?

Decode for body number: 233932

01B = Built the Second week of January.
69-12467 = Convertible.
NOR = Built in Norwood Ohio.
721 = Standard Medium Green Bucket Seats.
59-B = Lower Color is Frost Green and the Convertible Top Color is Black.
X11 = non-SS396, non-Z28, with style trim

You wrote o13 but i think that would be 01b. I am pretty sure that an x-11 car could still be an ss.

"Could" be an SS, but not likely just based on the X11 code.
