I've searched most of the threads on rebuilding first generation door hinges and I have noticed several posts mentioning the availability of "oversized" bushings. My hinges seem to have worn so that the bushings included in the rebuild kit (from Classic Industries) spin freely... so I am going to have to find some of these bushings. Most of the online companies offering first generation parts do not elaborate on whether or not the bushings are oversized so I need to find out where these can be purchased. Rick's website shows the oversized bushings for the '69 (DH-63) but I need oversized bushings for a '67....are they the same? If not does anyone have a suggested source so that I don't end up with a bunch of useless bushings? Thanks in advance.

If um are not like me with my own lathe...head down to the local machine shop with a bit of 'folding' in the back pocket
They will turn up bushes and pins...costs a little more but u walk home with them working.

When I did mine, I got a selction of both standard and oversized. The oversized are knurled on the OD and stick good. I did have to drill out the hole to fit them, then pound them in.
I got them from Brian at http://www.cpucarparts.com

Most auto parts stores sell the bushings and pins in the "help section". It is the section of the where they sell the generic window cranks, door lock knobs, and other items. The packages are usually red cardboard with the word help on them. I have bought bushings at Napa, and the local Chevrolet dealership, and have seen them at other auto parts stores.

Just to close the loop.... thanks for all the suggestions but I was able to find what I was looking for at www.luttyschevy.com. I just happened to hit upon the right search word combo this morning in Google and presto. Hopefully these will work and I can move on. If anyone else needs these then they'll know where to go. This place lets you order them individually (75 cents ea) which is perfect.
