I am still looking for a restored 1108367 starter for my car. Can anyone suggest a good company or individual to deal with? I am willing to pay a fair price...I know I have been looking for around 3 years now and I still have not come up with one that is correct for my car. Thanks.

Jason, I'm looking to. Did you ever find one from Oct 68? If you find one that needs a restore, Jerry M. can do them.

Did you try John Prkle in Ga. He has many starters and alternators that are restored to NCRS corvette specs.

Doug,

I have seen those, but I am a little unsure about that guys feedback...and for just a few bucks more I should be able to get one fully restored.

Tom,
I might try John...I have seen his name turn up on here quite often in regards to alternators. I didn't even realize he dealt with starters. Thanks.

Kevin,
I am sure I have run across some December starters...I always seem to find starters that are too early for my car. If I do run across an Oct 68 starter I will let you know.

You just missed one on the classifieds on this board dated Dec 2 68 that sold for $85.00 on Jan 23 that needed to be restored. Thats a good deal. I bought my 9 B 12 from that mztrcarb guy on ebay, he had a buy it now for $225. Noboby bought it so I e mailed him and bought it Shipped for $212. Needed to be cleaned up and rebuilt but perfect housing. Goodluck.

mztrcarb / Al, is a pretty straight forward guy.
All his stuff is guarenteed.
He sells for -- Chicago Corvette Supply.
Pretty reputable store, been around a long time..

$200 from Jerry MacNeish. He has a bunch of dates. He does not rebuild until one is sold.

Bought a re-built unit for my vette from Mztecarb as Jeff previously wrote. Very prompt with email, etc.... Highly recommended! Also, KBMotorsports sells a lot of items on ebay. Might want to check them out. Seem to be reputable.
good luck,
