italiano362 Jan 25th, 07, 09:36 PM After you get your baby back from paint you will have an awesome ride. Kudos to you for sticking with it and completing all the steps that are taken for granted by everybody that has never undertaken a redo.
Daral Jan 26th, 07, 06:53 AM Looking Good!!!! You are at the point I hope to be at by next year. I am 1 year into my project so it is comforting to know that it is possible to get to this point in 2 years :hurray:

BrewHog55 Jan 26th, 07, 11:34 PM Thanks for the kind words,
I have done a couple of additional things in the past couple of weeks.
I got the fender and door gaps closer on the driver side.
Also if you look close, the driver side hood does not line up even against the top of the fender. It has an arch along the middle of the left side. The fix for that ended up being that I had to drill out the spot welds that hold the hood skin to the structure underneath and pull the pieces together and reweld them.
You gotta do what you gotta do with repop parts.
Overall though I am very pleased with the fit of these parts.
I also rebuilt the steering column.
Last fall I put together a 383 short block with a forged kit that I got from T&L. When this thing goes to paint I am planning to get the rest of the drive line together.
Eddy heads, Voodoo cam, 200R4 Tranny..........etc. etc.

I know there must have been times that you thought about throwing in the towel, but you stuck with it and now the fruits of your labor are showing. Can't tell you how many times I'd come to site just to read the posts for inspiration. Good luck.
