I was looking at purchasing a car from New Jersey and having it shipped to PEI Canada. I have no idea what it would cost me to ship it up here from the US. Was wondering if anyone here had any experience shipping a car from US to Canada or vice versa... thanks guys, Jeff

Haven't bought anything yet,, my old man is looking at buying something down there actually, I think it's a 55 chevy he said, someone he knows told him about it so he gave the guy a call and he is gonna email some pics and then go from there, but being a weekend now he has to wait till monday to inquire with shipping companys so we wanted to get a ballpark idea. If it's alot and he decides to pull the trigger on this car then maybe I'll get a free road trip out of it, lol...

i just got my 67 shipped from central california to the florida keys (50 miles from the southernmost point in the US) and it cost me $1400 for an enclosed trailer. $950 if i went open trailer. the car had no glass, so i had to enclose it.
i used emerald coast shippers from sarasota fl.

hope this helps

There are some carriers that will give you quotes online (even if it is the weekend). Try a Google search.

Also, make sure you get a carrier that uses their own insurance. Some carriers use YOUR insurance if something happens. Your rates could go up for their negligence. When I had my Camaro shipped almost five years ago, the main carrier that ebay recommended did it this way.

When I picked up my car, the carrier asked why I didn't just call him directly (he was in my local yellow pages). The national company I paid was just a broker and took their cut of my money. We both could've saved some money if I had known.
