View Full Version : Original 1967 and 1969 12 bolt values
ProdigyCustoms Jan 27th, 07, 08:14 AM I have been away from restos for a while and found a a couple 12 bolts I have had for ever. A 1967 and a 1969. I am wondering what the 67 is worth. it is a correct piece, nice housing, not badly pitted, original traction bar bracket, original mono leaf pads and it is a QS 0104 G. I am wondering what it is worth as I know the 2.56 is not exactly the most desireable gear, but it is a real 67 rear no less. The 69 is a original 3.08 open rear (cannot see the code yet where it is storde, but can read my tag), so neither are super sought after 3.55 / 3.73 posi. I know the last real 3.55 12 bolt I had did $2000 on E bay, what are these worth?
jet_car2000 Jan 27th, 07, 08:20 AM Frank i would think that both are worth around 1500 and up.
1969 Camaro Dude Jan 27th, 07, 08:36 AM If it was a posi I would agree beings it isn't I would say much less than the $1500.00 mark closer to 1/2 that for the 69. JMHO
RPOL72 Jan 27th, 07, 09:54 AM I say $1500 for the 67, and $850 for the 69.
36j1967 Jan 27th, 07, 10:23 AM The 67 QS is a 3.07 peg leg with metalic brakes. I't would be a good match to an RS/SS Big block car and I've seen it used as such on LOS builds. I'd say $2,000 since it is dated just after the L35 release and has the radius rod bracket too.
eville Jan 27th, 07, 11:04 AM Not a penny! Send them to me, I'll dispose of them for you! :D

I looked it up to be a 2.56? Where did you find the code for 3.07?
rare4k Jan 27th, 07, 12:50 PM what are the casting dates of the rears shows the value to me!
36j1967 Jan 27th, 07, 03:33 PM It's listed in Chevrolet by the numbers by Alan Colvin. I also have the QS 3.07 open confirmed in a 67 L35/M20 Indy pace car in our data base at www.camaropacecars.com
ProdigyCustoms Jan 27th, 07, 03:33 PM I do not have the casting dates handy, but that stuff was all checked before I put them away, if they weren't right I would not have held onto them. Now it is time to liquidate some stuff to fund Lisa's (wife) car.
Just want to be fair without giving them away. Trying to figure out where to set the reserve.

Excellent, while not a 3.55, it is still leaps and bounds better then 2.56! Thanks alot.
TOM BARKLEY Jan 27th, 07, 08:57 PM I say the 69 3.07 rear is about 1200
ProdigyCustoms Jan 28th, 07, 11:39 AM Found pics of the project when I removed it. Cast date is hard to read, L 7 6,
