Hey,
Looking for pictures and info on Yenko '67s. There are '69s all over the place but not a lot on the '67s.
Thanks,
Bill

I have been collecting info on 67 Yenkos.
What kind of info are you looking for?
The early ones were SS 350 converted to L72 427 425hp by Yenko.
Later were SS 396 converted to L72 427 425hp and 410hp some by Yenko some by Dick Harrell Performance shop.
Yenko "Super Camaro Dealers" sponsored the 67 Dick Harrell Funny car and a AHRA Super Stock 427 67 Camaro
Many of the 67 Yenkos were sold as AHRA legal drag cars with headers, scatter shield, traction bars, hood pins, tach & gauges with many high perf options available such as L88, 2x4BB, 4:88 gear etc.
67 Yenkos have some interesting history

Wow, Good info. I just jumped into this project when I fell across a 67 here in AZ so I am looking for anything. From what I hear, some did and some did not come with the fiberglass stinger hood. Is this accurate? What about brakes? Power disc/drum? You mentioned traction bars - anything about other suspension add-ons? Any specific paint colors or any factory color on an SS was good?
Thanks for any info!

From what I can tell most did not have the stinger hood. Original paperwork I have most dosen't have the hood but most had headers, scatter shield, traction bars, hood pins, tach & gauges, special ing wires, and 427 emblems.
The stinger hood was available and some did get it. Some also had side pipes.
A Yenko employee who built 67 Yenkos told me that more people wanted the hood but it took extra time for delivery and some didn't want to wait.
I also found that the Yenko crest was not on the 67 Yenko Camaros but they did get the 427 emblems.
One Yenko ad shows only four colors available which I think has somthing to do with a special fleet order Yenko did but 2 documented cars have been found that are not one of the four colors.
67 Corvette side pipes was another option.
Somthing interesting here is that I have these cheep looking fiberglass side pipe covers that came from the Yenko estate sale. They look like 67 Corvette covers but are made of fiberglass. Corvette originals were metal. I thought they were from a Yenko racing Corvette but they don't look like somthing that would be on a race car. Recently another Yenko collector found a Yenko invoice from Yenko's fiberglass supplier for "prototype exhaust shield-Camaro" signed by Don Yenko. dated 1967
I think the invoice found is for the fiberglass side pipe covers I have.

Cool. This is the kind of info I need. Any idea on what paint options there were? The car was red originally but I will have to decide somewhere down the road. I am going to leave the interior black. Any idea on 4 Speed options? M21/M22/?
In your opinion, do you think it would be better to go with the SS hood or the fiberglass stinger? I haven't ordered the hood yet so I have the option.
Thanks!

The stinger hood looks good on a 67.
I don't know if any Yenkos had the stinger stripe like used on the 67 Corvette but they could have since Don was a big fan of the Corvettes.
A customer could have requested it after seeing a Corvette.
Red with the white factory SS pin stripe and SS nose stripe and Corvette stinger stripe might look pretty good.
