I am looking into buying a 69 Z that I have known about for a few years.
I would like to get a ball park value before making an offer.

It looks like it has all of its original parts. Second owner has all of the cars docs and service records form the first owner. The car has 34K original miles.
There are a few small rust spots showing on the lower front fender and wheel well openings.
It is a cool color too, Glacier Blue.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Eric

Eric,
Does the car run?
What kind of over all condition is it in? Interior good? Sounds like matching #'s...
Does the car need anything or is it in nice original condition?

It runs great. I could hop in and drive it anywhere.
I would say it is a solid 9+, out of 10 in all areas.
The worst issue is the small rust spots.
If I get it, I won't do anything to it except drive it.
Thanks,
Eric

Eric,
I have a car like that but with 78k miles. I have been offered some pretty silly ammounts of $$ for this thing in the past few months. I would say if you could get that cat for under 60k that would be a good deal. But a lot of cars like that are going for closer to 70-80k. JUMP ON THIS ONE!!!!
Please post some pics of that thing. I would love to see it. The restored versions of these cars are everywhere. But the all original ones are super hard to find.

Eric, value, sight unseen is a tough question. But maybe you don't understand these cars. You have an obligation to insure that the car is protected and improved upon for future generations. It's a CLASSIC for gawds-sakes! You don't just drive it as if it were chic-bait!
Hmmm, maybe I was too harsh:confused:

Cant really say for sure what its worth but thats a great find if it is what you say it is. Be a great car to add to the stable if you can swing it.

Eric, to continue from where Fred was headed----- yes, we recommend that any Camaro lover get the car of their dreams. It's just when you say original Z/28 and daily driver all in the same sentence that we raise an eyebrow. Why? To start with, most people out there only carry $25k in liability insurance, so if you get in a wreck with them, you will likely need to make a claim against your insurance in order to come out near whole. And keep in mind that most non-collector car insurance companies don't work on "agreed value". Second; theft! I hope this car is always right where you parked it, but given it's value, I wouldn't count on it! Third, assuming it has the original drivetrain, most of us would be a little concerned running our irreplaceable 302 on a daily basis. You blow that motor and you have just gone into financial ruin. Fourth, with less than 100k miles, it is our hope that these real rare cars are preserved for future generations, not to mention the added value of a real Z under 100k miles! My recommendation--- BUY the car and keep it the way it is or consider restoring it. When you can afford it, buy another more common Camaro as your daily driver. We all want to see you in the drivers seat of a classic, just not necessarily one of the most rare on a daily basis. Charlie

Don't think he mentioned daily driver anywhere. If he knows green z, he knows the value of caring for this car. Why would anyone buy one of these cars and not drive it some. No one says you have to hammer it every time in the driver seat.:beers:

Yes you hammer it only every other time. Glen as for Jerrys car all the metal is fitted and starting to look like a car again. I've been busy with collision work and have been off of it for a few weeks. We'll be back on it soon to finish it up. I'm only doing the heavy metal work.
