Hi guys, planning on installing ZZ572 in my 69 BB RS/SS. Any major modifications needed. Will my stock ex man. fit. I know that i have to change oil pan. Thanks any help would be great. Joe J. 978-777-1475

Hi Joe,
I installed a ZZ572/720R in my 70 Chevelle.You will have an issue if you are using the stock exhaust manifolds as the 572 has raised exhaust ports and a tall deck block,besides being inadequate for that engine.A good 2 1/4 inch header would more like it dumping into a 3 1/2 inch exhaust.
I had issues with my header tubes on cylinders 3 and 5.Kooks or Lemons can make a nice custom header for you.See pics below to get an idea how it looks installed.Have fun and Good Luck!
