I looked at a Camaro today and here is some of the info from the cowl tag. The guy says its and RS/SS. It has E 2EL 3L and 4P below it.
it also has 7xx-Z and a F-F after it.
Any advice is useful.
Thanks.

First off - WELCOME to Team Camaro :hurray:
Next, all the numbers listed on the Cowl Tag denote the body style, assembly plant & sequence number, interior color/type, body color(s) both upper/lower and many of the options that required special appointments to the body during assembly.
Here is a link to the CRG (Camaro Research Group) site that has lots of info on your 67 - http://camaros.org/diffs67.shtml
This is a link to the specific Cowl Tag codes and their meanings -
http://camaros.org/numbers.shtml#CowlTag
Take time to explore their site to learn lots of small facts and identifiers for the different models.
Many of the people associated with the CRG also visit this site to respond to posts and furnish specific information on questions - I'm sure they will chime-in to assist you as needed.
Hope this helps;

....ditto what John said above.
Also, ...and I hope you already know this, ...but please check the VIN number on the car, ...do your homework and understand exactly how a "Camaro" VIN should start (http://www.camaros.org/numbers.shtml#VIN )
...There are a great bunch of people on this (and the CRG site), ...ready and willing to answer questions...
If you can post a photo of the cowl tag, ...you'll get some input there too.
...The 7xx-Z interior code is interesting...

An SS car is designated by 4P on the trim plate.

4P means radius rod, not SS

I think not. 4P = L30/M20 or SS350.
You need to read some the Decode section of CRG and http://www.camaros.org/l30m20.shtml.
