As a new member I would like to post my trim plate, engine and rear info in hopes of getting a better idea of my cars make-up. Being new to Camaros and not having much history of my car, I had hope some of you may be able to help me. The date is 05E [ May-5th week], year 68, 12437 [sport coupe, V8], NOR [Norwood, Oh.], 144368 build #, 712 interior [blk, std, buckets], Z2 paint [british green, w/blk vinyl top]
I know the existing 396 was added since it had mon-leaf and a 10 bolt rear, so Iam trying to detemine the source of the 396. Front left cydlr deck # is T0320CTB and casted over the filter location is HI PERF over P96 or 8 over K 8.
The 10 bolt rear has 3.55 richmond set w/ posi. Stamped in the rt tube is BP0524G2.
I am working on getting the trans # off the TH400, will post later.
I know it's not a numbers matching, but it's mine and I love it! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

motor is a 72 402 used in camaro, impalas, and chevelle

The 05E build date matches the axle build date exactly, so it's 99% chance of being original. Probably either a 327 or a L6 car.

Seems mostly likely it was a 327/210 hp auto car then with that axle. Thanks!
