B camarocrazed Jan 31st, 07, 04:05 PM I can not seem to paste the link to the car but it is the orange and black 69 Z on Ebay located in Austin , Tx. camarocrazed Jan 31st, 07, 04:05 PM http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RARE-1969-Z-28-Coupe_W0QQitemZ250079769661QQihZ015QQcategoryZ6161 QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Rack Man Jan 31st, 07, 04:12 PM No reason to fake that tag....It doesn't say anything worth while as it is a VN built car.... Need more documentation to prove/disprove this as being a real Z....especially if it's not a numbers matching car..... Dan Jonesy Jan 31st, 07, 04:44 PM The reason to fake is for the more desirable color and interior combo. This tag is a fake, in my opinion I have the Van Nuys fake tags down now. BelAirBob Jan 31st, 07, 04:48 PM Agreed! Take is bogus..Car looks sweet though.... Shupee Jan 31st, 07, 04:51 PM They bought at the famous Barrett/Jackson auction--- OOOOHHHHHH WWWEEE that makes it worth alot more and gives it 57.3 more horsepower:beers: Rack Man Jan 31st, 07, 06:04 PM I dont' know....he claims to have the original invoice that matches exterior color & interior codes.....If thats real..and the tag is indeed fake....could it simply be a replacement for a damaged one..... I'd take good documentation over a possible fake tag anyday.....Like that 67 Z car that was for sale a while back.....totally documented but a repro tag... But now thinking about it.....If someone stumbled upon an original Invoice for a certain car (maybe a destroyed one)....they could build the car around that invoice....including VIN & Cowl Tag....So I guess Documentation can be suspect too....even if it is original.. Dan Dougs72Nova Jan 31st, 07, 06:10 PM Sure is a sharp car! 1969 RS/SS DROPTOP Jan 31st, 07, 06:14 PM Tag looks like a fake. |
