When I took the front sheet metal off my car a year ago I had to grind off the driver's side fender where the bottom bolt (pointing up), closest to the door normally is. The last person that put the fender on welded a washer to the fender and to the body. I thought it was their lazy way of not removing a broken bolt but now I'm trying to see if I can back it out and it's either not there and full of weld or it was welded so deep I'm never going to get it out.

I've never used a tap/die set or heli-coil but my guess is that's what i need to put a bolt back in where it belongs. In this situation what's the right tool(s) for the job? Any help would be appreciated.

Getting to the point: where should I mount this thing where it will be with in reach for adjustment when I need it, but where I won't have to look at it?

If anyone has pics of where they mounted theirs, I'd be much obliged.

Will post a pic tomorrow, if it will help, but it's about 4x2x2.

The rear end is a 12 bolt moser 373 with posi. I have'nt long put the rear in the car but before I installed it I put a 1350 series yoke on it. I'm thinking I may have got it to tight, unless there is something else you may have a opinion on. I did top it off with oil and the additive. How hot is to hot?? Or does mine seem good. This temp I reported is after a 10-15 min drive.

This is a good news / bad news post.

Good news - I FINALLY got the Dupont Sealer and Jet Black laid down. (w/ .3g of blue pearl added to the Gal.)

Here's my problem: After 2-3 coats of sealer was on the car I did a walk-around to look for flaws. I saw a few spots where I could still see color/hue changes of the underlying bodywork (not actual bodywork flaws) and also 1 run and 2 bugs/dirt spots.
I fixed the run and bug/dirt spots, then sprayed a shot of Sealer over just those spots, and the area's I could still slightly see through.

So, There was the 40 min wait on those before the basecoat Jet Black went on. (3 coats). Now I can see that the BC has 'laid down' differently in those spots where I put down the extra shot of Sealer. It's more 'mirror-like' and the blue pearl is *really* showing differently. And these are just small area's on larger panels, so it isn't like my spraying pattern changed when putting on the BC. It exactly matches where I put down the extra shots of Sealer.

I don't have a picture of the difference but hopefully the description makes sense.
So the big question is Have I really screwed the pooch here? Some bugs made it in the shop too so I think I should probably wet sand them out with 600 or 1000 grit or something.(wet). I still have around 1/2 gallon or so of the BC left. Was hoping a wet-sand and 2 more coats would correct things..
Here's a quick shot from spray time....
