Hey, just saw your message on my visitor page, thank you, that's a beautiful car you've got there. To answer your question, the wheels on my '68 are Vintage Wheel Works V45's, 17x8 with 4.5" backspacing in front, and 17x9.5 with 5.5" backspacing in the rear. Tires are BFG KDW's, 235/45/17 in front and 275/40/17 in back. I think 4.75" backspacing would be better in front and allow me to run 245/45/17 tires, which would have the identical sidewall height to the back, but this works fine the way it is.

Hello, I have original four piston front disc brakes, is your car the same? Wondering what my back space has to be for these disc brakes? Also you say the 245 rears do not rub or create any major problems? I am looking at getting 15x7 cragar rims with the rears being a reversed set. See any problems? Thanks Mike

I just updated my profile picture with the new wheels.
    - Wheels: 15X7 with 4" bs up front, 15X8 with 4.5" bs in the back
    - Tires: 215/65/R15 up front, 245/60/R15 in the back

My little guy, age 3, wanted me to have "black tires with white letters" so I put away the wheel covers and original steel wheels. Now I need to get around to replacing that original top, etc. etc. You've got to give me some credit, I got all the electrical working this winter including the dreaded rs headlamp doors, gas guage and washer sprayers! It's also amaizing what a good tune up can do. One day she will look like she did on the day she left the NOR factory (with these wheels for cruising and D70 redlines on the originals).
