I've been having a bog from idle on WOT with my Edlebrock 600CFM 1406 carb every since I installed an Air Gap intake. I tried changing jets, spring, rods, timing, moving the accelerator pump arm, etc. NOTHING worked.
I finally found something that works--an Edelbrock #1468 accelerator pump ($12.95)--I bought it at Auto Zone and the bog is gone.
Edelbrock lists it as a "special accelerator pump" with a marine spring and marine-quality seal. This pump gives the carb the gas it wants when I floor it at idle.
Here are the specs
* Performer Series; Accelerator Pump Assembly; Incl. Pump/Spring/Cup; For PN[1412/1413/1812/1813] Carburetors;
* For PN[1409/1410]
* Includes Cup Assembly
* Marine Spring
* Marine-Quality Seal
* Special Accelerator Pump

I hope this helps.
