Well... I did the conversion that I found in the tech ref section: http://www.camaros.net/techref/ftecref14.html
I know I did not wire it wrong (at least not according to the tech ref). I wanted a cleaner engine compartment and I'm just so nit picky, so I removed the blue wire altogether, and re-routed the brown wire (just like the author of the tech ref). Anyways... to keep it simple... if I pull off the brown wire it works fine. If I have the brown wire connected then it won't shut off. I know the brown wire is a resistor wire that used for the gen light. I did not cut the wire whatsoever, just rerouted. I am running a complete MSD ignition setup. I'm using the 6A box with the MSD 3 coil. The alt is an Autolite PRO-TECH 7273. Could the alt have different terminals? Would it hurt if I try to put the brown wire on the #2 instead of the #1 terminal?
I knew of someone who had the same problem and they claim it was because of the MSD but I don't remember what they did to solve it.
Any help would be great!
Thanks,
Ohayden
