Default Body number sequencing

I have a question about body number sequencing in 69 Camaros. This one happens to be an X33D80 car.
The Vin # is 124379N6942xx and a body build date of 9E.
The body number is 1194xx. This seems like a low body build number given that the car is a late September 1969 build.
Did, at some point, GM recycle the body numbers? Thanks in advance for any help.

The 6942xx VIN sequence number is correct for a very late Sept 69 car. According to my sheet Oct 69 began with 692608 but its an approximation...and according to your 09E car with 6942xx...the sheet i have is off a little.

Mine is 6800xx-09A, your vin looks to be ok.

I think the vin is pretty close but I question the body number sequencing.

BDY numbers started over at something close to 100001 the first week of Aug, 69. My 08A car is 100381, and I have a pic of another legit 08A car with 101195. Kurt told me he had pics of other 08A cars with numbers lower than mine.

August was the start of the new model year so the body #'s were reset then.
They did not get reset when the 'real' 70 model year production began.
