Here is the vin # given 124378LXXXXXX I dont know why the Xs... Attached is a pic of the cowl tag, claims to be a true SS RS 350 350 with a 12 bolt. Thanks for the help

'68 Coupe, Grecian Green exterior, standard black buckets, built 5th week of November 1967 at Van Nuys (Los Angeles), Calif.
The seller has substituted 'X's for the unique VIN numbers for this car; some people prefer to not disclose the full VIN on internet ads etc. Can't determine original drivetrain from trim tag.

You'll need the numbers as well as pictures of the engine pad/casting number/casting date, transmission stampings, and rear end casting numbers, dates, and assembly stamps to verify if it is numbers matching or not. Get these and post them. Plenty of guys here can verify if what he claims to have is what he really has.
