His '67 has a lower sharp line on the doors, 69's do not. Breaking on that bodyline or not depends how much money one wants to throw at a repair. Painting from that line down is no big deal. 3M protective film can be applied if it's going to get peppered. I apply it often on trike body fenders.

Some of those new cars with zero miles on the lots have had their bumpers repaired and the whole cover was not cleared. Doubtful their owners will ever know.

It doesn't look as bad as the picture makes it out. That was a bright flash in a dimly lit room. It normal lighting it doe NOT look so bad.

So in the pictures you can see (as mentioned above) there IS in fact a lower body line that I was inquiring about....

I saw the pics, not sure what your question was though. Did you want advice on if they looked good enough not to paint ? If so, I'm 50/50 on it but it's really your call since it's your ride.

The original question was can just from that low body line down be painted. It seems there was a little confusion in earlier responses but this car is a 67, not a 69, so the body lines are difference. My 67 has a lower body line that the 69 doesn't. Not too sure even if the 68 has it.

Yes you can but you will have an edge from tape.

I think it would look fine. If you wanted to get rid of the tape line then you would need to do is color wet sand and re-polish to hide the dividing line. That's how most body shops hide the lines when repairs are done.

I'd say go for it for 2 reasons. 1---its not SEMA car and 2 there is seam between and gap between the rockers and the doors. Painting anything in the "middle" without at least seam is a no-go. Go for it, it will make the car look better.

No you won't if you know how to backmask at a style line. I did this often in collision and recently did it on trike body. Refinish Netork provides tech info you don't get as much on hobby sites.
