What carb is best for a mild bbc the street avenger 870 or the 82750 holley

There are tons of info about this all over the web and this site. Do a search and you will be reading all night. That said the 750 lower end torque the 850 high end power. I prefer the 750 but that's me.

The Quick Fuel 750 VS carb is getting lots of play and folks seem to be happy with them. I think the Quick Fuel guys used to work at Holley, but don't quote me on that.

Anything from 750 to 850 should be OK for a mild BBC, depends on how mild as to which one you go with.

My personal choice would be an old 3310 or 3310-1. These both have 2 metering blocks and are 780 cfm. The new 3310 carbs (3310-2, 3310-3, etc,) are rated at 750.

I guess the primary diff between the two is, one has a choke and one doesn't. If you go 'chokeless' you'll have to work the throttle quite a bit for the first five minutes of driving,..a bit annoying.

What tranny and rear gear?

Wow, we must be on the same page, LOL. I just removed my 870 Holley SA from my BBC and was thinking about replacing it with the 82750. The 870 ran very good, however I couldn't dial in the choke for some reason and it never really worked properly. If I had to do it again I would not recommend the 870. I think it was a little big for my set-up. Perhaps the 770. Anyway, JMHO. Need more info, how many cubes? Manual or automatic? Mech secondaries for manual, vac for auto.

It is a 461 cubes 410 rear tb 400 trans iron heads 575 lift comp magum cam. I would like to go 850 carb?
