Hey guys,

I noticed one of my end links on my rear sway bar is missing. Trying to find a replacement but first one to find out if this was installed correctly as it came with the car.

The first pic is how it is currently installed, w/o a spacer. Is this correct?

The second pic is a brand new 3 1/2'' end link/bushing set that I have. Can I use this with the spacing or do I need to get a new set? Anyone know what length I need? I was hesitant to measure the current one as it may not be correct.

I don't know whether this is a stock or aftermarket bar.

Should have a spacer to make the arms of the bar roughly pararlell with the ground. The poly bushings will make it stiffer than the rubber bushings. You can trim the soacer to fit your combo.

First Gens didn't have stock rear bars.
The clamp/retainer on the sub frame looks to be an Addco product. The bolt heads are strange. Addco uses a U bolt that's fed from one hole, then inside the sub frame and out the next hole. What those bolts screw into is a .

Weird! My subframe doesn't have that welded plate with the bolt holes. Does every 69 subframe have that plate ? And where is the top side accessible from? Both sides are the same.

Sorry Mike, I left out about 43 years of history. The first Addco bar was installed by me in 1969. The U bolts were tearing up the sub-frame so I gas welded that plate to re-enforce it. Then about 5 years ago Addco sent me a new bar for free (in picture) and took the old one back for their museum.
They don't make them like this anymore;

Read what Fres said. There is no access from the top required. It is a aquarish U bolr threaded through two drilled holes in the subframe.

Wow Fred, that original makes the poly bushings look squishy.
